A Brief Intro into my life

Hello everyone, this site is about me! It was designed for ARTS COMPUTING (100-150A) ASSIGNMENT 4. My name is Josh Scheinert (0133948) and I go to McGill University.

I am also a Homo-Sapiens who lives on Planet Earth - more specifically, in Toronto. I have two ears, two eyes, one nose, and one mouth. Both my brother and I were delivered by Dr. Smith at North York General Hospital. I am a robust individual. I have lived a momentous life thus far.

A few things about me: I enjoy pets. I go to Camp Winnebagoe. I like the arts. I want to save the world one day.

The Creatures in my life

Fish:

I have had various fish in my life, some of which lived for 4 years! I know it's crazy. You know fish are truly a wonderful pet. You don't have to take them out for walks, and they will never act up. But the best part about fish are that they are really nice as a decoration.

Hamsters:

I have also had three hamsters. My hamsters are a funny story. First I had Rocket who was great and lived for about 3 years. Then after Rocket died, I got Margarine (because he looked like Margarine), but he bit...so we took him back and got a discount on our next hamster...who we named Discount!

Dogs:

I've also had two dogs. My first dog Oliver had one brown eye and one blue eye. And now I have Casper...he is a Bijon!

The UN meets Yours Truly

As the years progress I would eventually like to work with the UN, particularly with children and refugees. Here is a link to the UN site: www.un.org.

I have a quote that I enjoy: "Some men see things as they are and say why, others dream things that never were and say why not?" (GB Shaw, most recently by Robert Kennedy).

Art is like a good piece of chocolate, it melts in your mouth.

Music:

I've always been a fan of music...as a true Canadian, some of my favorite bands are the Bare-naked Ladies and the Tragically Hip. I also like Pink Floyd and U2. Here are some links to good sites: www.pinkfloyd.com, www.dmb.com, and www.u2.com. Enjoy!

Movies:

I also really like movies...i.e., the Land Before Time (the original - not the 200 sequels), Life is Beautiful, Gladiator, and of course, the Usual Suspects. (By-the-by  I'm going to Florida for the break and very excited to see all the good movies out now).

  "Work Hard - Play Hard"

Camp:

Located amidst the splendor of the Muskokas in Ontario sits Camp Winnebagoe, where I have summered since 1992! I am now a counselor there for the youngest campers (8 years old) - and no - I'm not a babysitter! My favorite camp breakfast is muffins, my favorite lunch is mac and cheese, and the Saturday Night BBQ is my favorite dinner! One of my favorite parts of camp is days off! My favorite activity is ... hmm? I'm not sure! There is not an official camp site, by I am working on an unofficial one as of now and the address is www.angelfire.com/dc/winnebugler - go check it out!
